Brendan Fraser – film and theater actor

Brendan Fraser is an American and Canadian film and theater actor, television producer. He is best known for his role as Rick O’Connell in the trilogy of films The Mummy and the films Blast from the Past and George of the Jungle, as well as roles in the films Bedazzled and Crash.
Brendan James Fraser was born on December 3, 1968, Indianapolis, Indiana. His mother was a sales advisor and his father, a former journalist, worked in the Ministry of Tourism in Canada. His maternal uncle, George Genereux, was the only Canadian to win a gold medal in the 1952 Summer Olympics. Brendan has three elder brothers: Kevin, Sean and Regan. As a child, Brendan together with his family traveled a lot. For a long time he lived in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, London and various US cities.

Fraser attended private boarding school for boys Upper Canada College in Toronto. At the age of 12 while on vacation in London Fraser participated in a play in West End. Later, in 2001, he played the role in the play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams.
Fraser studied acting in Toronto and Seattle. Then he moved to Los Angeles to participate in film projects.
In 1991 he appeared in films. He became known after his roles in the film George of the Jungle and the adventure film The Mummy. In 1997 he starred with Ian McKellen in the biographical film Gods and Monsters. In 2002, Fraser played in the new adaptation of Graham Greene’s The Quiet American.
Fraser has dual citizenship – the United States and Canada. He is fluent in French. Fraser is a keen photographer.
In 2010, the actor appeared in the comedy Furry Vengeance.

Personal life
In September 1998, Frazier married his longtime companion – actress Afton Smith. They have three sons: Arthur Griffin (born in 2002), Holden Fletcher (born in 2004) and Leland (born in 2006). In December 2007, the couple announced their separation.
Later he had a relationship with actress Maria Bello.
