John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. – American journalist

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. was an American journalist and lawyer, the third child and first son of the 35th US President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy. In the American press he was also called John Jr., John-John, or JFK Jr., or America’s Son, because he became the first infant to live in the White House since the Grover Cleveland administration in the late 1800s.
John was born on November 25, 1960, 16 days after his father, John F. Kennedy, was elected as the President of the USA. During the first three years of his life he lived in the White House. His father was killed on November 22, 1963 in Dallas. The funeral of President John F. Kennedy took place on November 25, 1963. It was John F. Kennedy, Jr.’s birthday.
After the murder of his father, John lived in Manhattan in New York with his mother Jacqueline Kennedy. In 1968, his mother married a Greek tycoon Aristotle Onassis. His stepfather died in 1975, when Kennedy Jr. was 14 years old.

After primary school he entered the Phillips Academy and then the Brown University. After graduation he tried acting in the theater, traveled a lot, and helped his mother with her urban improvement charity. In 1986 he entered New York University law school.
From 1989 to 1993 he worked as an assistant District Attorney of Manhattan.
In 1995 he launched the socio-political glossy monthly magazine – George. After his death the magazine was bought by one of the media companies and was published until the beginning of 2001. It was closed due to lack of funds from the advertising.
John F. Kennedy, Jr. was a very popular figure in the media and one of the most enviable grooms of the United States. There were numerous press stories about his love affairs with celebrities, including Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brooke Shields, and Daryl Hannah.
On September 21, 1996 he married Carolyn Bessette. Their wedding was highly secretive, taking place on Cumberland Island off the coast of Georgia. The couple didn’t have children.

John Fitzgerald died on July 16, 1999 at age 38. He lost control of his plane off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts and it crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
