Lady Gaga is an American singer, songwriter, producer, philanthropist, designer and actress. In 2008, Lady Gaga released her debut album The Fame, which was a commercial success and was well received by critics. Her two singles Just Dance and Poker Face became international hits. In 2009, she released the mini-album The Fame Monster. Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro achieved high sales worldwide. The Monster Ball Tour became one of the most lucrative in history. The second studio album Born This Way topped the charts of almost all countries of the world. The third studio album Artpop was released on November 11, 2013.
Influenced by David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Queen, Lady Gaga created bright style.
The singer has a lot of awards, including six Grammy awards, 13 MTV Video Music Awards and 8 MTV Europe Music Awards. Time magazine named the performer one of the most influential personalities in the world.

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (her real name) was born on March 28, 1986 in New York. She is the eldest child in an Italian family. Stefani has younger sister Natalie. From early childhood the girl was involved in music.
She studied in Convent of The Sacred Heart. Then she entered Tisch School of the Arts.
At the age of 14 she performed on the stage of the New York club Bitter End, as well as performed on the school theater stage as a part of Regis Jazz Band. At the age of fifteen Stefani performed with bands Mackin Pulsifer and SGBand.

Gaga in her childhood

19-year-old girl decided to leave college to start her music career. In 2006, Stefani began working with music producer Rob Fusari. They recorded a few songs which became popular in the clubs: Beautiful, Dirty, Rich, Dirty Ice Cream, Disco Heaven. At the same time, she first used the pseudonym Lady GaGa (Queen’s song Radio Ga Ga). Her collaboration with Fusari ended in January 2007. A year later she was noticed by Vincent Herbert and in January 2008 the girl signed a contract with Interscope Records, first as a songwriter. She wrote songs for Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block.
Her debut album The Fame was released in August 2008 in Canada, Australia and some European countries. On October 28 it was released in the US. On January 17, 2009 her single Just Dance topped the UK Singles Chart. By that time the British media called her “new Madonna”. On March 28 single Poker Face topped the British charts.
On September 6, 2009 Lady Gaga was named Queen of Download. On September 25, 2009 The Fame album was certified platinum in Russia.

Successful singer

The release of mini-album The Fame Monster was on November 23, 2009.
On January 31, 2010 Lady Gaga won two Grammy awards. On February 17, 2010 she won in three nominations at Brit Awards ceremony in London: The Best Foreign Performer, International Breakthrough of the Year and Best International Album.
In September 2010, at the next ceremony MTV VMA Lady Gaga won eight nominations. Then she got into the Guinness Book of Records as the most popular woman on the number of searches on the Internet.
On May 19, 2011 the album Born This Way was officially released.
The third studio album Artpop was released on November 11, 2013.
Gaga starred in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills. She played a cameo role in the movie Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
In 2012-2014, the singer recorded a jazz album, Cheek to Cheek with American singer Tony Bennett.

In early 2015 Gaga wanted to become the first performer in space. But later the flight was canceled. However, Gaga still wants to fly into space.
On February 27, it became known that the singer was involved in the filming of the fifth season of the popular horror series American Horror Story. On January 10, 2016 she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in the TV series American Horror Story: Hotel.
On October 21, 2016 she released the fifth studio album Joanne.
After the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Gaga donated more than 500 thousand dollars. Gaga is also involved in the campaign against AIDS and HIV.
In February 2012, Gaga opened a charity Born This Way Foundation at Harvard University in Massachusetts.

Personal life
On February 14, 2015, on Valentine’s Day, 33-year-old actor Taylor Kinney made a marriage proposal and they were going to get married. In July 2016 Lady Gaga announced that they broke up.
