Michael Buble – Canadian crooner

Michael Buble is a Canadian crooner. He is a leading contemporary artist performing the songs from Great American Songbook, winner of several awards (Grammy and Juno Awards). In 2003, his album reached the top ten in Lebanon, the UK and his home country. The album It’s Time released in 2005 was the biggest success in the US. More than 30 million albums were sold.
Michael Steven Buble was born on September 9, 1975 in Burnaby, British Columbia in the family of a fisherman of Italian origin. As a child, Michael often listened to jazz record collections of his grandfather. Michael recorded three independent albums, and one of them was a gift to his grandfather.
In 2000 Buble received two Genie Awards for two songs that he wrote for the film Here’s to Life.

The first Michael’s national television work was a documentary film Big Band Boom! by director Mark Glover Masterson.
Michael’s career began when Michael McSweeney saw him at the evening of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. McSweeney enjoyed the performance, and Buble gave him an album. Then, in 2000, Michael was invited to sing at the wedding of Brian Mulroney’s daughter. At the wedding Mulroney introduced Buble to legendary producer David Foster. Foster signed a contract with Buble, who recorded debut album in 2003. The album includes the classic songs of the Anglo-American pop music – Fever, The Way You Look Tonight (written by Jerome Kern with lyrics by Dorothy Fields), For Once in My Life, Moondance and You ‘ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine. Barry Gibb from Bee Gees sang backing vocals in the cover version of the hit How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?. This version of the song made Buble known in many countries. The singer received Juno Award 2004 as the discovery of the year.
In late 2003, Christmas album Let it Snow was released. The title track reached the top of music charts in Australia. Let it Snow was re-released in the United States on October 9, 2007.
Buble’s second album, It’s Time, was a breakthrough for him. It reached the 7th position on the Billboard 200, the 2nd position on ARIA Album Charts in Australia and the 4th position in the UK Album Charts. The single Home became a hit.
On October 9, 2009 the fourth studio album was released.
Michael also played the role in the films Totally Blonde (2001), The Snow Walker (2003), Las Vegas (2005), Da Kath & Kim Code (2005) and in the television series Rove.
In 2011 he won Grammy Award with Crazy love album.

Personal life
Michael was engaged to theater actress, dancer and singer Debbie Timus. They together participated in the musicals Red Rock Diner (1996) and Dean Regan’s Forever Swing (1998). He wrote the song Home for her. Their relationship ended in November 2005. They together recorded the song Lost.
In 2005 Buble met British actress Emily Blunt. Later she sang backing vocals to the song Me and Mrs. Jones. The song Everything was composed for Blunt. They broke up in June 2008.
On March 31, 2011 he married Argentine actress and singer Luisana Lopilato. She starred in the music video for Have not Met You Yet. On August 27, 2013 their son was born and on January 22, 2016 their second son was born. On November 4, 2016 it was reported that their 3-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer.
