Monica Bellucci is an Italian actress and fashion model. She is one of the world’s most beautiful women.
Monica Anna Maria Bellucci was born on September 30, 1964 in provincial Italian town of Città di Castello. Since childhood, she wanted to become a lawyer. To study at the University of Perugia (Faculty of Law), 16-year-old Monica worked as a model. However, the girl was fond of the glamorous lifestyle and decided to give up her childhood dream in favor of secular life. Monica is fluent in English and French, as well as Spanish.
In 1988, Monica moved to Milan, where she signed a contract with Elite Model Management. In 1989, Monica was already a famous model in Paris and New York. She posed for the famous design magazines Dolce & Gabbana and Elle modeling (France).

In February 2001, Esquire Magazine’s together with Desire featured Ms published Monica’s photos on the cover and an article about her was written in five pages. In 2003, her photos appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine. In 2004, the actress topped the list of 100 most beautiful women in the world according to Ask Men’s.
Having achieved success in modeling career, Monica decided to play in movies.
In 1990 she made her debut in the Italian film. In 1992, Bellucci was invited by director Francis Ford Coppola to play in the film Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
In the period from 1992 to 1995 she starred in Ostinato Destino, Briganti – Amore e libertà, I Mitici, Snowball, Bits and Pieces, Joseph.

In 1996, Monica was nominated for Cesar Award for her role of Lisa in the movie The Apartment. On the set of the film Bellucci met French actor Vincent Cassel.
Her next film was French thriller Dobermann. In 1997, Monica starred in three films: Stressati, Mauvais genre, Come mi vuoi. And in 1998 she appeared in four films: Le Plaisir, Compromise, Kaputt Mundi, A los que aman.
In 2001, Monica along with her husband co-starred in the film Brotherhood of the Wolf and brilliantly played the role of Sylvia.
The next role – the queen of Egypt – was in the most expensive movie in Europe in 2002 Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra.
In 2003 she played in Remember Me, My Love, Tears of the Sun, as well as in cult films by Wachowski brothers The Matrix Reloaded, Enter the Matrix and The Matrix Revolutions. In 2004 she starred in a very difficult film The Passion of the Christ, as well as in Secret Agents and She Hate Me.
In the film The Brothers Grimm (2005) Monica played the role of The Mirror Queen.
The actress often confessed that she dreamed to star together with Robert De Niro. In 2011, the actors appeared together in the movie The Ages of Love.
In 2015, Monica starred in the 24th film from the series James Bond – Spectre.

Personal life
In 1990-1995, Monica was married to Claudio Carlos Basso.

On September 9, 1999 she married actor Vincent Cassel. They have two daughters – Deva Cassel (born on September 12, 2004) and Leonie Cassel (born on May 20, 2010). In August 2013 the couple broke up.
