Nico Rosberg is a German racing car driver, Formula One driver. He was a world champion in 2016, runner-up in 2014 and 2015, as well as the winner of Pole Position Cup in 2014. Nico is the son of Keke Rosberg, Formula 1 world champion in 1982. On December 2, 2016 Nico announced his retirement.
Nico Erik Rosberg was born on June 27, 1985 in Wiesbaden, Germany. The boy spent most of his youth in Monaco with his family. Rosberg speaks German, English, Italian and French.
On July 11, 2014 he married interior designer Vivian Sibold. They met each other 10 years before the wedding, and were engaged in August 2013. Their daughter was born on August 30, 2015.

Rosberg started his career in karting in 1996, when he was 11 years old. In 2002, he won the German Formula BMW, which gave him progress in the career. Two years later he took part in the Formula 3 Euro Series as a member of his father’s team.
After finishing aerodynamics course at Imperial College London, Rosberg joined ART Grand Prix team in 2005 and became the first champion of the series.
In the Engineering Aptitude Test Rosberg scored the highest score of all in the team’s history.
He finished third at the 2008 Australian Grand Prix. In September, he finished second behind Fernando Alonso at Singapore Grand Prix.
On November 23, 2009 Rosberg became the main pilot of Mercedes GP team. A month later the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher was named his partner.
In the 2012 season Rosberg claimed his first victory. He became the best at the Grand Prix in China. Another time Nico was on the podium at the Grand Prix in Monaco, where he took the second place.
On November 27, 2016 Rosberg took the second place in Abu Dhabi and won the championship. Interestingly, Nico became the champion of Formula One 34 years after his father’s victory.
On December 2, 2016 Nico Rosberg announced the end of his career.
