Winnie Harlow – very unusual model

Winnie Harlow is a Canadian fashion model and activist. She gained fame as a member of the twenty-first season of America’s Next Top Model. The girl was able to start her modeling career suffering from vitiligo (skin pigmentation disorder). She is currently the face of the casual clothing brand Desigual in Barcelona, along with the Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima.
Chantelle Brown-Young (her real name) was born on July 27, 1994 in Toronto, Ontario to Lisa Brown and Windsor Yang. The girl has two sisters. Winnie was diagnosed with vitiligo. Since early childhood Harlow was a victim of bullying. The other children called her names calling her cow and zebra. Because of bullying the girl had to change schools and even thought about suicide.
Tyra Banks, the author and the presenter of television show America’s Next Top Model, posted her photo on Instagram. In 2014, Harlow was one of the fourteen finalists in the twenty-first season of the TV show. It was a breakthrough for her, and Harlow became rich. In the show Harlow took the 6th place.

After the show the girl starred for the Spanish brand Desigual and became the official representative of the brand. She also posed for fashion magazines, such as i-D and Dazed, and Showstudio.com.
In 2015, Harlow worked with British fashion photographer Nick Knight for the Italian clothing brand Diesel. She also starred for Spanish and Italian editions of Glamour magazine and appeared in Complex magazine August / September 2015. In August 2015, he photos appeared in Cosmopolitan and then on Vogue Italia site. That same month, she appeared on the cover of Ebony magazine.
In 2016, Harlow starred in Sprite commercials.
In July 2011, Harlow released a video on YouTube entitled “Vitiligo: a skin condition, but not the destruction of life”, where she talked and answered questions about her life with vitiligo.
Harlow appeared in the music video for JMSN’s song The One and in the video for Eminem’s song Guts Over Fear, as well as in Beyonce’s “visual album” Lemonade.
In 2015 she was awarded Gala Spa Award and Portuguese GQ Men of The Year Event. Role Model.
