Adele is a British singer, songwriter and poet. After graduating from the BRIT School in 2006, Adele signed a contract with XL Recordings. In 2007, Adele won in the category Critics Choice at the Brit Awards and was recognized as the best new performer in the BBC Sound 2008, according to the survey. Her debut album 19 was released in 2008 and became commercially successful. In 2009 Adele won two Grammy awards. Adele released her second studio album, 21, in early 2011. The album was well received by critics. In 2012, Adele won numerous awards, including six Grammy awards, two Brit Awards and three American Music Awards. The album has received 16 platinum certifications in the UK and is the fourth best-selling album in the UK of all time. In the US, the album has a diamond certification. More than 31 million copies of the album were sold worldwide.
Adele was placed in the Guinness World Records book and was awarded the Order of the British Empire.
In 2012, she released the song Skyfall, which became the title theme of the James Bond 007 Coordinates Skyfall. The song won Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe awards.
In 2015, she released her third studio album, 25.
In 2011 and 2012 Billboard named Adele the artist of the year. Time magazine named her one of the most influential people in the world in 2012 and 2016. She is one of the best-selling artists in the world.

Thanks to the success on MySpace in 2007 Adele signed her first contract. On October 22, 2007 she released her debut single Hometown Glory, which was recognized as single of the week, and in April 2008, it again hit the UK top 40 when it was used in the series Skins.

The single Someone Like You took the 1st place in the UK. According to the Official Charts Company, Adele – with two singles and two albums in the first “five” at the same time – was the second in history after The Beatles (1964), who managed to achieve such a result.
The singer’s third studio album, 25, was released on November 20, 2015.

Personal life
In 2011 Adele began dating Simon Christopher Konecki. On October 19, 2012 the singer gave birth to their son James Angelo Konecki.
