John Travolta is an American actor, dancer, singer, and producer. “Travolta” means “high voltage” in Italian.
John Joseph Travolta was born on February 18, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA. He was the youngest of six children. His father was a former semi-pro football player and his mother was a high school drama teacher.
At an early age John began to think about show business. At the age of 8 he won a twisting contest, and by the age of 12 he had already joined a local actors’ group, and was soon appearing in musicals. He also took tap-dancing lessons from a very good teacher.
John went to a Catholic school. His classmates nicknamed him “Bone” (because he was skinny) and “Brat” (because he was spoiled).
At the age of 16, he dropped out of high school to take up acting full-time. In fact, he had tried a lot of jobs: he worked as a ticket man, a luggage handler, a cashier.

The duo Lennon – McCartney has become one of the most influential and successful author unions in the history of modern music. McCartney is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful musician and composer of the modern history.
In the summer of 2002 Sir Paul McCartney performed All You Need Is Love in front of the Queen.
Paul started dating girls, when he became a musician of The Quarrymen. One of his first girlfriends was named Leila (strange name for Liverpool), another close friend, Julie Arthur, was the niece of actor-comedian Ted Ray.

Tom Cruise is a bright actor, film director and producer. He is one of the most successful Hollywood stars, but his road to stardom wasn’t an easy one. Tom grew up in a poor family dominated by a cruel father, who often beat him. Tom’s mother struggled to support her four children. Tom has three sisters – Lee Anne, Marian and Cass.
In his childhood Tom had a form of dyslexia and it was difficult for him to study at school. And it was also difficult to make friends, so his childhood was extremely lonely. His father was an engineer, and his mother was an actress. His father moved the family around looking for a job and Tom had changed 15 schools by the time he was fourteen. Finally, Tom’s mother had the courage to stand up to her husband and leave him. His mother created her own life and made it possible for her children to survive. And the little boy decided that he could create his own life, too.
At first Tom wanted to become an athlete. He was engaged in many sports and was very good at wrestling but a knee injury closed the door on any athletic career. So Tom decided to try acting. His role in a high school musical Guys and Dolls was successful, and he made up his mind to become a professional actor.

Corbin Bleu was born on February 21, 1989 in New York. At the age of four he was a model, a Broadway actor at six, appeared on TV at seven, became a film star at fourteen, and then he was part of the biggest musical ever made – High School Musical.
When Corbin was about six his family moved to Los Angeles and he nearly drowned in the swimming pool because he couldn’t swim. Luckily, his mother saved him. Corbin has three younger sisters. He says that they are crazy, yet funny and often make him laugh.
Bleu graduated from the Los Angeles High School for the Arts. When he was a first-year student, Corbin was cast in the lead role in the feature film Catch That Kid.
In the summer of 2004 Corbin participated in a new television series Flight 29 Down on Discovery Kids channel.
He was a celebrity guest in various TV series, including Hannah Montana and The Good Wife.
Corbin played in the film Jump In (2007) together with his father David.

Henry VIII, her father, had changed the course of his country’s history, broken with the Catholic Church so that he could marry her mother, Ann Boleyn. He wanted to have an heir to the throne. The birth of a daughter disappointed him. When little Elizabeth was three years old her mother was executed, the girl was declared illegitimate and sent away from Court.
Henry married again. His next wife gave him a son, Edward, and died shortly afterwards.
Katherine Parr, Elizabeth’s stepmother, brought her and her half-sister Mary back to court. The girls got a very good education. They studied history, philosophy, mastered Latin, Greek, Italian and Spanish.
Elizabeth was 14 when her father died. Edward became a king. Very soon it was clear that Edward VII was seriously ill. The struggle for the crown began.

Spielberg was born on December 18, 1946 into a family of a computer scientist and a gifted pianist. The boy spent his early childhood in New Jersey and, later, in Arizona. At the age of 11 Spielberg got his father’s camera and began shooting short films about flying saucers and World War II battles.
When Steven was 13 he won a competition with his 40-minute film Escape to Nowhere. His film Firelight was shown at the local cinema when young producer was only 16.
In 1975 Spielberg created Jaws and a real success came to him. This fish tale became the hit and opened up the doors for Spielberg to work on many more great projects.
