Michael Sheen – British actor
Michael Sheen is a British actor from Wales. He became known for his roles of well-known politicians and public figures: Tony Blair in the movies The Deal, The Queen and The Special Relationship, David Frost in the film Frost / Nixon, Brian Clough in The Damned United. In 2004, he played the role of a rock musician in the film Laws of Attraction. In 2009 he played the role of vampire in the film Twilight. Saga. New Moon and the role of the terrorist in the dramatic thriller Unthinkable.
Michael Christopher Sheen was born on February 5, 1969 in Newport. From time to time his father worked as a professional Jack Nicholson double. Michael has a younger sister, Joanne. When Sheen was five years old his family moved to Liverpool. Three years later his family returned to Port Talbot, where Michael entered school and began to play football for the children’s youth team.
In 1990 Sheen became a theater actor and 1993 debuted in the movie.
Immediately after graduation from school he joined National Youth Theatre in his native Wales. Over the years Michael became a student at the London Academy of Dramatic Art.
In the famous theater Globe he played with Vanessa Redgrave. In 1992 he played the lead role in Romeo and Juliet. In 1997 the young actor played the role of Henry V in the play by Shakespeare. After this role he became the bright theatrical star. In the famous The Old Vic Theater he played Mozart. A year later he was nominated for the prestigious Laurence Olivier award.
In the 2000s, Sheen moved to New York for family reasons. Only sometimes he came to London, where he played the role of Caligula.
For his role in the film The Queen Sheen was nominated for BAFTA.
In 2010 he starred in the film The Special Relationship and was nominated for Emmy.
The undoubted success for the actor was the invitation to play in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris.
From 1995 to 2003 Sheen dated actress Kate Beckinsale. On January 31, 1999 their daughter Lily Mo Sheen was born. The girl played the role of young Celine in the movie Underworld: Evolution.
After their break up Kate married director Len Wiseman.
In 2004, the actor had a love affair with Anastasia Griffith. Then there were the 6-year relationship with British ballet dancer Lorraine Stewart.
From 2010 to 2013 he had a relationship with actress Rachel McAdams.
In 2014 he began dating Sarah Silverman.
