Stan Lee – famous American writer
Stan Lee is a famous American writer, actor, producer, TV presenter, screenwriter, editor and creator of many naturalistic comic characters, as well as the former president and chairman of the Marvel Comics. Lee is also known as a film and television actor, he starred in many films as a cameo or played supporting roles.
Stanley Martin Lieber (his real name) was born on December 28, 1922 in New York, USA. When Lee was nearly 9 years old, his first and only brother Larry was born.
Stan graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx.
In October 1942, he was drafted into the US Army, where he served until October 1945.
Many people helped Lee to become well-known: Robbie Solomon (Stan’s uncle), the editor of Timely Comics Joe Simon, comic book publisher Martin Goodman. In collaboration with several artists (the most famous – Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko), Stan has created many well-known comic book characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four and X-Men.
Stan played in many films based on Marvel Comics. In particular, X-Men, X-Men: The Last Stand, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3: The enemy in reflection, Iron Man, Daredevil, Hulk, The Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, as well as many others.
Together with John Buskema he is the author of the book How to Draw Comics. The Marvel Way.
Stan Lee also was a producer of such films as Captain America, Nick Fury: Agent SHIELD, Blade, X-Men, Blade 2, Spider-Man, Daredevil, X2, Hulk, The Punisher, Spider-Man 2, Blade 3: Trinity, Elektra, Goblin, Fantastic Four, X-Men: Last battle and others.
At the beginning of 2016 the writer confessed that he lost the ability to read and write.
