Jackie Evancho – young singer

Jackie Evancho is an American young singer who became famous after her performance on the television show America’s Got Talent. Evancho performs in the genre of classical crossover like Hayley Westenra and Sarah Brightman. Jackie takes vocal lessons, plays the violin and piano.
Jacqueline Marie Evancho was born on April 9, 2000 in Pittsburgh, USA. She is the second child in the family of Michael and Lisa Evancho. Jackie has elder brother Jacob, younger brother Zach and younger sister Rachel. Her parents are originally from Ukraine. They emigrated to America long before the birth of their children. The girl began singing at the age of 8 when she watched musical movie Phantom of the Opera. Her mother allowed her to participate in a local talent contest. Jackie took the second place and won the audience award in the competition. She also participated in other talent shows.

In August 2010, Jackie was selected on YouTube and performed in TV show America’s Got Talent. She sang Time To Say Goodbye – Andrea Bocelli. It was a furor. The girl reached the final and took the second place losing to Michael Grimm.
On June 20, 2012 she performed together with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo at the Palace Square in St. Petersburg, Russia.
On January 20, 2017 Evancho will perform the national anthem at the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.

On November 1, 2009 the singer released her debut album Prelude to a Dream, which included the hits in the style of classical crossover Con Te Partiro by Francesco Sartori and Memory from the musical Cats. The album debuted on the second place on the Billboard classical music version.
On November 16, 2010 Columbia Records released her second solo album O Holy Night. Her third solo album was released on June 24, 2011. On September 23, 2014 her fourth album was released.
Someday at Christmas was released on October 28, 2016.
In 2012 she starred in the film Dirty Game.
Jackie is compared with the prima ballerina Maria Callas and is called the phenomenon of the XXI century.
Today, the young singer has attracted the attention of many influential people from the music industry, including the legendary Canadian singer David Foster and the American conductor and composer Tim Janis. Jackie has performed on stage with Foster, sang for well-known politicians and in December 2010 performed in the famous Carnegie Hall.
