Lucy Hale – American actress and singer

Lucy Hale is an American film and television actress, country singer, songwriter, designer, model and public figure.
Karen Lucille Hale was born on June 14, 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee. Lucy has elder sister Maggie. Their parents divorced when they were teenagers. At the age of 8 Lucy began singing. In 2012, Hale admitted that as a teenager she suffered from anorexia.
13-year-old Lucy and her mother went to Los Angeles to take part in American Juniors. The girl became popular thanks to the performance of the 1980s hit Call Me, and later recorded a few solo songs for the album Kids in America. In 2003 Hale appeared in such television projects as An American Idol Christmas, Entertainment Tonight and Slime Time Live on Nickelodeon. In 2005, Lucy finally moved to Los Angeles, where she was invited to take part in such shows as The OC, Drake and Josh, How I Met Your Mother, Secrets of a Small Town. On the set of the TV series Wizards of Waverly Place Lucy met actor David Henry who became her boyfriend.

In 2007, Hale appeared in the TV series Modern Family and Private Practice. In the project The Apostles she played the role of Rachel, the daughter of one of the officers. In the same year, Lucy played a minor role in the melodrama The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. In 2008, Lucy got the lead role in the TV series Privileged and starred in two films Fear Island and Sorority Wars.
In 2010 Hale began playing a major role in the popular TV series Pretty Little Liars. For this role the actress was awarded Teen Choice Award, Young Hollywood Award and others.
In 2011, the actress appeared in Wes Craven’s horror film Scream 4, and starred in the film A Cinderella Story 3 for which she recorded several soundtracks.
In 2012, she signed a contract with Hollywood Records. Her debut single You Sound Good to Me was released on January 7, 2014 and topped country music charts in the United States, Canada and Australia. Hale’s album Road Between was released on June 3, 2014. In October 2014 it was announced that Hale wrote the song for the debut album of a young country music singer Ashley Lisset.
In August 2013 Hale and Darren Criss were the presenters of Teen Choice Award ceremony.
In July 2014 Lucy created her own clothing line – Hollister Co, which was successfully sold in the US, Canada, Spain, France and England.

Personal life
From 2007 to 2009, Lucy dated with actor David Henry, star of the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place.
