Victoria Louise Lott – Pixie Lott
Pixie Lott (her real name is Victoria Louise Lott) is a British singer-songwriter, dancer and actress.
She was born on January 12, 1991 in Bromley, south-east London. When Victoria was 13 years old her family moved to Brentwood, Essex.
When the little girl was born, her mother called her Victoria. But very soon she nicknamed her Pixie. ‘My mum nicknamed me Pixie as I was like a little fairy. My sister and brother who were one and two years old always called me Pixie and thought that was my name!”
At a very early age Victoria got interested in music. Her parents always had music playing loud around the house. At the age of 14 the girl began writing and recording demos.
Her first single Mama Do came out in 2009 and went straight to number one in the UK Singles Chart. Her second single, Boys and Girls, also took the top lines. Her first album Turn It Up reached number six. On November 7, 2011 she released her second studio album Young Foolish Happy. The first single from the album was the song All About Tonight.
Pixie is famous for her live performances. She describes her style as “soulful pop that is con-temporary with sometimes a retro feel”.
Pixie said that Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston had the main influence on her style of singing.
Pixie tried herself in different directions. She became a judge of the British show The X Factor, starred in the film Fred and released her own clothing collection in collaboration with the brand Lipsy. Lott also participated in the show Britain’s Got Talent as an invited guest.
Pixie starred in several films, but she said she loved acting but music was her passion and always would be.
Victoria graduated from Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
Pixie worked with many famous producers including RedOne, who worked with Lady Gaga and Alexei Vorobyov, Phil Tornelli, Greg Kerstin, Cutfather and Jonas Yeberg.
