Sylvester Stallone – Hollywood action star

Sylvester Stallone is an American actor, film director, screenwriter and producer. During his acting career he has starred in more than 50 films, including Rocky, Rambo and The Expendables. He was nominated for Golden Globe and Oscar for his role as Rocky Balboa in the first and seventh films. Sylvester is a winner of Saturn, Cesar and Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.
On June 12, 2011 he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. In December 2016, US President Donald Trump offered Stallone the Chairmanship of the National Endowment for the Arts and Humanities. However, Stallone refused the offer.

Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 in New York. His father, Frank Stallone Sr. (1919-2011), was a barber and his mother Jacqueline was a daughter of the famous Washington lawyer and appeared on stage at the legendary Billy Rose’s Diamonds-Horseshoe Club. His parents divorced when the boy was 11 years old. Sylvester stayed with his father. He was expelled from 10 schools. 15-year-old Stallone moved to his mother and began to study in a special school for troubled teens. Then he went to Switzerland where he studied at the American College. There he worked as a coach and played in the theater. In the USA he studied drama at the University of Miami. After graduation he returned to New York and played in small theater productions.
Stallone played in several films and two television series. In 1976, he wrote scenario for the film Rocky and sold it. He played the main role in the film and was nominated for Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA.

After Rambo 3 and Rocky 4, Sylvester began playing in less successful films such as Cobra, Lock Up, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. But such films as Demolition Man and The Specialist brought him to fame.
His hobby is painting. The actor is quite a good impressionist painter.
Sylvester together with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore founded the restaurant chain Planet Hollywood.

Personal life
His younger brother, singer and actor Frank Stallone, is known for roles in the movies Hudson Hawk and Rocky.
On December 28, 1974 Sylvester married American actress Sasha Czack. The marriage ended in divorce on February 14, 1985. Sasha gave birth to two sons: Sage (1976-2012) and Seargeoh (born in 1979, the boy suffers from autism).

On December 15, 1985 the actor married 22-year-old Danish model and actress Brigitte Nielsen. Two years later they divorced.

In May 1997, he married American model Jennifer Flavin, who is 22 years younger. They have three daughters: Sofia (1996), Sistine (1998) and Scarlet (2002).
