Bruno Mars – American musician

Bruno Mars is an American singer, songwriter and music producer, multi-instrumentalist, winner of the Grammy award. He took part in the recording of tracks Nothin ‘on You by B.o.B and Billionaire by Travis McCoy. Bruno is the co-author of such songs as Flo Rida’s Right Round, K’naan’s Wavin ‘Flag and Cee Lo Green’s Fuck You!
In October 2010, he released his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which took third place in the Billboard 200.
Bruno Mars received seven nominations at the 53rd Grammy Awards ceremony, which took place on 13 February 2011. He received the award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the song Just the Way You Are. At the 56th Grammy Award ceremony, which took place on January 26, 2014, Mars won the award for Best Pop Album (Unorthodox Jukebox). At the 57th Grammy Award ceremony, which took place on February 16, 2016, Bruno together with Mark Ronson and their hit Uptown Funk won two awards Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo performance.

Ben Carson – neurosurgeon and author

Ben Carson is American neurosurgeon and author. He was the first doctor who successfully performed an operation to separate Siamese twins who were born joined at the head. In 2008 the 43rd US President George W. Bush awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He was a candidate for the US presidency in 2016.
Benjamin Solomon “Ben” Carson Sr. was born on September 18, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan. His parents divorced when Ben was eight years old. His mother had only a third-grade education and worked as a maid, sometimes holding two or even three jobs to support her family. The family was poor.
While studying in secondary school, Ben had a dream – to become a doctor.
He graduated from Yale University (Department of Psychology), and then the medical department of the University of Michigan.

Carrie Fisher – actress and novelist

Carrie Fisher is an American actress, screenwriter and novelist, the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. She became famous after her role of Princess Leia Organa in film series Star Wars.
Carrie Fisher was born on October 21, 1956 in Beverly Hills, California. Her father Eddie Fisher was a crooner and her mother Mary Frances was an actress, known under the name Debbie Reynolds. Carrie has a younger brother, Todd Fisher. Her two half-sisters, Joely Fisher and Tricia Leigh Fisher, are also actresses. When Carrie was 2 years old, her parents divorced and her father married actress Elizabeth Taylor. The following year, her mother married Harry Karl, the owner of a chain of shoe stores.
Carrie’s dream was to become an actress like her mother. Her debut was in 1973 in the musical Irene, the revival of the Broadway hit, where she acted together with her mother.

Dwayne Johnson – wrestler and actor

Dwayne Johnson is an American wrestler and film actor, also known under the pseudonym The Rock. From 1996 to 2004 he performed in World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment (WWF / E). He is an eight-time WWF / E champion, two-time WCW champion, two-time WWF Intercontinental champion. He is also the sixth Triple Crown champion and the winner of the Battle Royal in 2000.
In 2000, Johnson wrote an autobiographical book The Rock Says, which debuted in first place in the list of New York Times bestsellers.
In 2001, he began acting in movies, and in 2002 starred in the movie The Scorpion King. His fee ($ 5.5 million) entered the Guinness Book of Records as the highest fee for the first starring role. In addition, Johnson starred in such films as The Mummy Returns, Walking Tall, The Rundown, Doom, Tooth Fairy, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 2, Hercules, as well as in The Fast and The Furious.

Megyn Kelly – journalist and TV presenter

Megyn Kelly is an American journalist, television presenter, and a lawyer.
Megyn Marie Kelly-Brunt was born on November 18, 1970 in Albany, New York. She grew up in Syracuse, in the same state. When Megyn was 15 years old, her father died of a heart attack, and later her mother remarried. Megyn has an older brother, Pete Kelly, who lives in Atlanta and sister – an unmarried mother of three children.
In 1995 Megyn graduated from Albany Law School. Subsequent 9 years Kelly had been practicing law in Jones Day. At first she worked as a lawyer in Chicago office of Bickel & Brewer LLP and later began her career in journalism. In 2003, she began a career as a journalist reporter for the ABC, and in 2004 agreed to work on FOX.
She also has been a trainer in aerobics for 10 years.

Catherine of Aragon was the daughter of the founders of the Spanish State Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile, the first wife of King Henry VIII Tudor, mother of Queen Maria I. After twenty-four years of marriage, due to the lack of a male heir, Henry insisted on the cancellation of the marriage with Catherine. It was one of the causes of the conflict between Henry and Pope, a break with the Roman Catholic Church and the Reformation in England.
Catalina de Aragon y Castilla was born on December 16, 1485 in the castle of the Archbishop of Toledo in the town of Alcala de Henares located near Madrid. She was the youngest child of Catholic Kings – Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile. Her childhood coincided with the period of Renaissance in Spain. One of Catherine’s mentors was Alessandro Geraldine, who, together with his brother Antonio was one of the most famous humanists of his time. The girl studied heraldry and genealogy, history, canon law and civil law, classical literature, ancient literature and languages – in particular Latin and Greek.

At the age of eight Caryn began performing in the Helen Rubenstein experimental children’s theater. The girl had to left school due to dyslexia.
In the late 1960s, Caryn joined the hippie movement. She left home to live in a commune where she addicted to marijuana, and later – to the heavier drugs. The girl didn’t work for a long time. She tried to get rid of the addiction but it was very difficult.

Sir Frederick Grant Banting – co-discoverer of insulin

Sir Frederick Grant Banting was a Canadian physician and physiologist, one of the discoverers of insulin. In 1923 he and John McLeod were laureates of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Banting became the youngest Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine Prize – at the time of the award he was 32 years old. Frederick gave half of his part of the Nobel Prize to his assistant Charles Best. In 1934 Frederick was knighted by George V.
World Diabetes Day is celebrated on his birthday – 14 November.
He was a leader in other fields of medical research, including suprarenal cortex, cancer, silicosis, and aviation medicine.
Frederick Grant Banting was born on November 14, 1891 in Alliston, Ontario, Canada. He was the youngest of five children into the family of William Thompson and Margaret Grant Banting.

Eddie Redmayne is a British film and theater actor. He became famous for his role as a theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. He is a winner of Oscar Academy Award, Golden Globe award, the British Academy Award, Tony and the Laurence Olivier Award. Wanda Sykes was born on March 7, 1964 in Portsmouth, Virginia into the family of Harry Sykes, a colonel in the US Army, and Marion Louise, a banker. Wanda grew up in Washington.
She graduated from Arundel high school in Gambrills, Maryland and the Hampton University, where she received a Bachelor of Marketing. After graduating from university, she got a job as a procurement officer in the National Security Agency, where she worked for five years.
